Hyatt Hotel is located beside Lake Burley Griffin. Easy to reach by car but seems like there is not much public transport nearby. We rented a car for our trip in Canberra so accessibility wasn’t an issue for us. Hotel parking was AUD30 in their underground carpark. They recommended for us to park on the street parking. Paid parking for daytime from 8.30am. Parking overnight was free. Popular landmarks of Canberra was within minutes drive from the hotel. Snapper & Co. restaurant was 5 minutes drive from the hotel and they serve great fish and chips! From the exterior of the hotel, you could tell that the hotel is of a certain age. But the interior was grand and nice!
The room was spacious and clean! Was surprised to see Le Labo amenities! Bath salt was also provided. Had 2 other rooms on a different booking, and they managed to allocate rooms side by side. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!

Since the hotel is really old, although it has just been renovated, the facilities are old, but the indoor maintenance is good. The outdoor courtyard is poorly maintained, and there are spider webs and mud outside the window, which makes people not want to go out.
The service can only be said to be average. At the beginning, I was given a room card as a souvenir, but I didn’t give it to the front desk. Later, when I passed by for the second time, I asked the front desk and they gave me an old card with scratches on the card. I was still a little disappointed that this appeared in the Park Hyatt brand. Although the price is indeed very low, it is Park Hyatt after all.
The location may be the biggest advantage here. It only takes two minutes to drive to the Congress.
